Through powerful stories from businesses, nonprofits, and changemakers, we inspire individuals from all backgrounds to dive into opportunities in ocean education, conservation, volunteering, and careers. Nobody tells your story better than you do!
Each episode features one organization introduced by our host. We interview a representative of the organization using a framework of sample open ended questions and prompts that we tailor for the organizaton, The organization chooses what questions to answer, how to answer them, and of course, they can use any prompts they feel are appropriate. We prefer to do it in person but can also work through zoom or other remote meeting software. In additon to the representative, we look to feature 2 volunteers or staff members, one from an academic career path, and one from a vocational career path.
We ask the organization to provide raw video clips and photographs showing the projects and work that is done, The more diverse the clips, the better. We ask for additional footage showing the daily work of the 2 featured staff.
We expect your story to inspire the next generation of ocean heroes.
Our team organizes the interviews, photos and video clips into our format, which always includes a call to action, be it volunteer, donate, or exploring educational oppotunities and career paths.
The Oceans Legions Show is just getting started, as we decide on which organzation to build our pilot on. Distribution will initially be through social media, and organizations will have access to the full episodes for their own. Should we have success with our pilot, we will pursue streaming with the major services, and channels that specialize in our type of content.
